Tides donors come from very diverse backgrounds, but share an unwavering passion for
the environment and social justice. Through their charitable giving funds, they are creating impact on issues they care about now and in the future.

CANRAD stands for the Canada/Kenyan Rarieda Development Project which sponsors young African women, orphans and girls of destitute families, to become future leaders via education.

Nicole Rycroft and Markets Initiative

The Markets Initiative Fund at Tides furthers Tides’ mission to protect the environment by supporting charitable work to reduce the impact of paper on forests and climate.

Please Mum Foundation

Please Mum has been making high-quality kids clothes for over two decades. They also bring hope and fun to children across Canada by providing Funds for Fun that help build playgrounds and support sports, music, dance, and poetry programs in schools.

Cassils-Wettstein Asia Fund supports selected NGOs in Southeast Asia providing education, improved health care, agriculture and hope to needy children and their families.

Give Girls A Chance

Volunteers raise funds for projects that educate girls from Afghanistan to Zambia to Canada.  Their motto: Educate a Girl. Change the World.

Dr. David Halliday and Light Up The World

Dr. Halliday’s project: Light Up The World has lit more than 14,000 homes in 42 countries with sustainable LED lights charged by solar power.  

Darlene Varleau

Learn More HereDarlene supports international projects. She volunteers with ‘Half the Sky Canada’ which provides nurturing care for China’s orphans. She rewrote her will to include an endowment that will be managed by her goddaughters who were adopted from an orphanage in China.
